Update 26th November 2020
The Government has just announced that Cheshire East is in Tier 2 for the foreseeable future. Please bear with us whilst we work out what this means for our business and whether we can host people from the same support bubble in the huts.
As such, formal bookings are closed, but in the meantime we know how important it is to have something to look forward to. If you think that you would like to come and stay, please do get in contact via email and we will reserve your dates if available, free of charge. When we know for sure that we can reopen we will be in touch for payments.
Covid is having a major impact on all our lives and we want you to be able to come on holiday to us assured that we are doing our very best to keep everyone safe. With accreditations from Visit England with "Good to go" and Airbnb for strict cleaning protocols (updated October 2020); we are confident in our ability to protect our guests when we are able to reopen.
We hope to welcome you in the near future

Retreat and savour the Peak District in our traditional Shepherd Hut's
About Whitelee Farm, Peak District
Located in the Peak District and one mile off the beaten track; nestling in a lush green valley by the River Dane, Whitelee Farm offers an extraordinary experience for those seeking to get away from it all.
Contact with nature is quite literally on your doorstep. Livestock graze on the pastureland surrounding the huts for much of the year; pheasants are in abundance; and the wild bird song is outstanding. The River Dane runs through the farm and is a short walk away. Perfect for a cool paddle; or just to sit and be mesmerised by the movement and the sounds of the flowing water. With a huge networks of footpaths criss crossing the farm including the Peak District Circular walk, this is a very special special space in which to be as active or restive as you desire.
The farm and the buildings and land that make it have benefitted over the years from continuous investment. As such there are ongoing conservation projects in Woodland and wild spaces and in traditional features such as stone walling. As such, we are very proud that this traditional farmstead is well preserved and beautifully presented. The current conservation projects include working with accredited partners to ensure the protection of ancient woodland and species for many future generations to enjoy.
Living and working in such spectacular scenery is a real privilege for our family and the addition of the 2 Shepherd Huts 'Dane Valley' and 'Hen Cloud' has given the opportunity to share this amazing haven; under very restrictive planning permission. Meaning that a stay in a location like this truly is hard to find.
We have to be honest - if you are looking for full throttle entertainment and wild nights out, then this is not the place for you. If however, you are seeking to mentally switch off, eat when you are hungry and sleep when you are tired then you have found your spot.
We look forward to welcoming you.
And finally...a little bit about us...
3 generations with a passion for agriculture, nature and conservation!
The shepherd huts are located at the centre of the farm near to the house and farm buildings. As such you will probably see us around at various points; but we try to leave our guests to make the space their own unless we are needed.
All are involved in some way in looking after the huts and our guests - from the children delivering logs to the adults running maintenance jobs.
Living and working in such spectacular scenery is a real privilege for our family and we are delighted to share the experience with others from our 2 Shepherd Huts - 'Dane Valley' and 'Hen Cloud'.
