Dane Valley Shepherd Hut
Nestled in a quiet field near to the main farmhouse, this private Shepherd's hut is aptly named with stunning distance views across the field and down to the Dane Valley.
Admire the glorious views from the veranda adjoined to the hut; or stay snug and warm inside and enjoy the scenery via the full height double glazed french doors.
Offering tranquillity and luxury, this haven is perfect for a break away from it all. As such we have deliberately chosen not to equip Dane Valley Shepherd hut with a television or wifi - this is a space where you can truly switch off, relax and enjoy your amazing surroundings.
Approach to 'Dane Valley' is via the main field gate, down a stoned path through grazed pastureland and wild meadow. From here you can immediately take advantage of the fabulous views across the valley. 'Dane Valley' Shepherd Hut is situated 100 yards through the gate to the right of this small field.
Dane Valley Shepherd Hut in detail
Two oak steps take you up to an oak framed veranda that adjoins your hut. Furnished with a bistro table and chairs this is a stunning vantage point from which to appreciate the views or the night stars with a heavenly cup of something or perhaps a glass of something stronger.
From here through double glazed oak French doors you enter 'Dane Valley' and a bewitching environment that you immediately feel a sense of peace and calm.
Directly in front of you is the kitchen. Superbly equipped for a compact space, the kitchen offers all that you could need for your stay: from a fridge complete with ice tray and fresh ice on your arrival, to a gas oven with grill and hob all surrounded by a honed granite work top. Fully equipped, you will also find plenty of storage for any goodies that you may have bought with you.
To the right of the kitchen is a door through to your ensuite bathroom with all the amenities that you would wish for in a luxury establishment: gas powered hot shower, flushing toilet, sink and heated towel rail. All towels are provided.
To the immediate right of the French doors is the log burner. Small and compact in its own surround, this log burner can not only boil a kettle for you when lit, but the arm to the right of it is also a great way to keep a pot of tea or coffee warm on cold, wet, days.
Moving round the hut and past the French doors is the seating area complete with dining table for four by day, which at night transforms into a sumptuous bed in 2 easy steps (unhook the table, pull down the bed, hey presto!). In this area there are also 2 windows for you to enjoy the view from - one is covered by the bed during the day.
